Brittney Griner left her single life behind today as she proposed to her longtime girlfriend, fellow WNBA player Glory Johnson. Johnson was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 at Tennessee before being picked No. 4 overall in the 2012 WNBA draft by the Tulsa Shock. Griner posted the moment to her Instagram today with the caption “Last Night was a Night to Remember[,] I became the happiest person on this earth! (almost pass out but when that one word came out I came back to life) Me and my baby @missvol25 are in it for Life! Congrats to the couple. Check the gallery for the image.

Steph Curry should take it as a compliment, but I am sure it can be annoying as well. Curry, who is 26 years old does look very young. He learned a valuable lesson that just because you are a star pro athlete, not everyone is going to know who you are. He tells a story of how recently he tried to get a drink at a restaurant but didn’t have his ID on him and the waitress refused to serve him. Steph had to get the manager involved who luckily knew who he was and allowed the staff to serve him.

This ad was just released by Nike and could be Durant’s last. Nike is still trying to hold on to him as well.

Is it possible for a long distance track runner to have too much swag? Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad from France may be that guy, but it also cost him a victory. Mekhissi was well on his way to a dominating win when he decided to showboat and rip off his jersey as he sprinted down the home stretch and waived to the crowd as he did it. As someone watching it the scene was pretty damn funny, but track officials weren’t laughing and they stripped him of the win at the world championships.
