The throwbacks are in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the ABA’s founding. The Clippers’ uniforms are the ones worn by the Los Angeles Stars, a former ABA team from 1968-1970. Finalists who received invites to New York are Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, Alabama running back Trent Richardson, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III, LSU defensive back/punt returner Tyrann Mathieu and Wisconsin running back Montee Ball.
