Doesn’t really matter what NBA team you like, I don’t know any NBA fan that doesn’t like to see Derrick Rose play. We all might get that wish sooner than later. He is now traveling on road trips with the Bulls, which he was not doing earlier in the season. He is also doing more work on the actual court, even though it is still light work. As a basketball fan I hope he comes back soon and better than ever. Just as long as he plays like crap when they play the Knicks, which is who they are playing right now. Dam, people will really use social networks for everything these days. But then again, with all the gossip starved people, and news seeking hounds, social networks might be the way to go. It seems the divorce proceeding between Kobe Bryant and his gorgeous wife Vanessa Bryant are now completely done. For good this time. Over the past 12 months especially there have been numerous times where it was reported Vanessa was not ready to sign papers but divorce was still a possibility. The couple has tried to reconcile and make it work and from the looks of Mrs. Bryant’s instagram account today, it appears divorce is now completely off the table and they are going to focus on the future. NBA: Jerry Stackhouse Is A Gangsta?
Ever since the whole confrontation earlier this week with Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett, alot of NBA players have been asked about fighting. Surprisingly many players said fights between players happen more often than we think, there just is not always cameras around to see it. Enter Jerry Stackhouse. He did an interview with Grantland, and he tells about a time he beat up former Utah Jazz player Kirk Snyder. He said during the game Snyder hit him with a few cheap shots. NFL: From Car Salesman To Possible Champion
I love a story that involves someone not giving up on their dream. Dujuan Harris was an undrafted rookie this season. He was invited to training camp by the Jaguars but cut. Then the Steelers gave him a chance, but cut him after only 4 days. He is a small running back by any standard. He is only 5’7 and did not get much attention coming out of college. Faced with bills to pay he had to look for a regular job. He began selling cars at a Chrysler dealership in Jacksonville, FL, but he never gave up hope inside himself. A week later the Packers called and signed him to their practice team. Fast forward a few months later and he finds himself as the Packers starting running back. The past 2 games, the last regular season game with the Vikings, and the playoff game last week, also against the Vikings, he made key contributions to his team winning. He had 100 yards total in the playoff game. He is so humble he actually still plans to go back and sell cars during the off season. “I just got off the phone with them,” Harris said. “They just told me they sold 10 cars. That’s live. That is live. Why not be a part of that?” Hopefully with his continued effort, he will be able to land a nice NFL contract and not have to worry about selling cars again. IamJOE357
