For the last month, Funk Flex along with the IFWT staff have went through all the up and comers that were making waves in 2011, and we have decided on 20 to watch for 2012. Each night this week, we’re going to post 4 out of the 20 and we will wrap it up on Friday. Be clear, this list is in NO PARTICULAR order! Announced on Monday were Jon Connor, followed by Chase N Cashe, Chinx Drugz and Troy Ave . Tuesday was Skeme, then Audra The Rapper and Maffew Ragazino. Wednesday was Lore’l then Neako and Smoke DZA. Yesterday we featured Dom Kennedy and Kid Ink, and now we’re up to Day 5…our last day. First up we have Action Bronson. The gourmet chef turned rapper works closely with Statik Selektah and having just got into the game this year, he’s already made quite a name for himself. He sent us over an exclusive track, the Statik Selektah-produced “Miss Fordham Road” of which you can get a snippet of below. Funk Flex Find Flex on Google+

For today’s first, we chose West Coast emcee Dom Kennedy. We reached out for a freestyle and got word back he doesn’t really rock with Flex like that! But here at IFWT, we judge by the music and regardless of personal beefs, we still feel he’s one to watch for 2012 so we’ll be keeping you guys updated with all of his latest work!
