Congrats are in order for Trey Songz, whose latest effort Trigga tops the Billboard charts in its first week with 105k sold. He still got it! Meanwhile, Robin Thicke didn’t fare so well with Paula, barely just making the top 10 at number 9 with 24k sold. Ouch. Get the full top 10 below!


Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 6/22/14 … Congrats To J. Lo On A #8 Debut!

Lana del Rey landed her first number one album this week with Ultraviolence, moving 182k units since its release last week. J. Lo also had a debut in the top 10, with her new album A.K.A. coming in at number 8 with 33k sold. In comparison, her last album, 2011’s Love?, debuted and peaked at number 5 with 83k. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 5/25/14 … Coldplay Makes Biggest Debut Of 2014!

Coldplay’s new album Ghost Stories marks the group’s fourth number one album…as well as the biggest sales week of 2014 thus far! The project sold 383,000 copies in the week ending May 25, easily taking Eric Church’s crown, who previously held the title with “The Outsiders” moving 288k units in the week ending February 16. The Frozen soundtrack continues its reign once again this week, marking its 13th week at number one with an additional 106,000 units sold. Will it ever be knocked out of its post? Meanwhile, Iggy Azalea gained some steam for her second week on the charts, moving ahead of Future (who beat her by less than 1000 units sold on their respective chart debuts last week) as well as Pharrell, who’s been on the charts with G I R L for quite some time. There is no sign of the Frozen soundtrack stopping its reign any time soon! Fueled by Easter shopping, the soundtrack to the hit Disney film reached its biggest sales week yet, marking its 11th week at number 1 on the Billboard charts with 259k copies sold. To date, Frozen has sold 2.3 million copies, and now surpasses The Lion King as the longest-running number one soundtrack by an animated film. Also winning big this week is August Alsina, whose debut album Testimony comes in at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Hip-Hop and R&B chart! Congrats, homie! Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 4/13/14 … ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack Keeps Breaking Records!

Disney’s “Frozen” soundtrack won’t stop its reign! For the 10th [nonconsecutive] week, it holds down the number one spot on the Billboard 200, moving an additional 133k copies in the last 7 days. The album’s cumulative sales now rest at a cool 2.1 million, and is now one of just 11 albums to have spent at least 10 weeks at number 1 since the chart started using SoundScan’s point-of-sale data on May 25, 1991. In addition, “Frozen” now ties “The Lion King” for the most weeks at No. 1 for an animated film soundtrack. Get the full top 10 below!
