It was an AMAZING week for hip-hop this past week! Kanye West, J. Cole and Mac Miller all dropped albums on the same day, and they all did amazing in sales! The big talk was Yeezy vs. Cole, with Ye prevailing by just a few thousand, but Mac Miller definitely held his own as well! Congrats to all! Not a very interesting week for hip-hop on Billboard’s top 10 chart this past week. In fact, the only album that falls into the category is The Great Gatsby soundtrack, nabbing the number 4 slot in its second week out with 96k sold. Get the rest of the top 10 after the jump. Not mentioned below, though? Eve. She caught quite a brick with Lip Lock, coming in at 46 with only 8500 sold in its first week. Sheesh.
