The drill music sound has been popularized and credited to Chicago, following the success of rappers like Chief Keef, Fredo Santana and more. However, one can argue that it was Atlanta’s Waka Flocka who actually originated drill music – and he’s certainly not one to argue that. In a new interview, Waka agrees that he paved the way for the sound, but he doesn’t consider himself a drill artist – more of an all around entertainer. “I’m an entertainer. I just entertain,” he said. “I just express myself. I’m an expressive person, so to me, music was like anger management for me. Still is. It’s just fun! I use this to party, have fun and express myself.”
