Oh? This Is Why DJ Mustard Doesn’t F*ck With Iggy Azalea!

DJ Mustard

There’s no denying that Iggy Azalea’s chart-topping single “Fancy” has a beat very reminiscent of DJ Mustard’s signature sound, and naturally, he’s none too pleased about the biting. During his “CRWN: A Conversation With Elliott Wilson & DJ Mustard” interview earlier this week, the super-producer broke down exactly what he’s mad at Iggy for it.

“At first I was like, ‘Yeah, you trippin,’” Mustard told YN. “I know Iggy. We know her. She used to be chillin’ with me, [Ty Dolla $ign], YG. She used to be chillin’ with us. She knows the sound. She knows how hard we was working to make that sound and for you to go to somebody else or for you to do whatever you did, whatever they did and just be like, ‘Oh this is new and I don’t know why Mustard dissed…’ No. You know why.”

The song is produced by London-based trio, The Invisible Men. Do you think Iggy and Mustard will work it out so they can come together for a hit of their own?!

Ariana Grande Speaks On Big Sean Dating Rumors

Big Sean x Ariana Grande

Rumors of a potential romance between Ariana Grande and Big Sean have been swirling for a couple of months, after the frequent collaborators were spotted on what appeared to be a movie date earlier this summer. Both are on the rebound and have been spending time together recording records like Ariana’s new single “Best Mistake,” so the coupling isn’t exactly random.

The pair seemed to confirm the rumors during Sunday night’s VMAs, when cameras captured them holding hands backstage following Ariana’s performance, and in an interview with Ryan Seacrest yesterday, the 21-year-old singer addressed the situation…sort of. Check out her quote below.

Travis Scott’s DJ Talks To REVOLT About “Days Before Rodeo”

Longtime friend and collaborator with Travis Scott, DJ Chase B was caught by REVOLT to offer some insight to the artist’s upcoming mixtape, “Days Before Rodeo.” In the interview, Chase notes the fact that Scott took some risks when it came to recording this project. “This one was much more organic. Owl Pharaoh was a working process for a good two, three years, but this one was a lot more organic. There’s a lot of instrumentals that Travi$ typically wouldn’t hop on like, ‘Drugs You Should Try It,’ ‘Grey,’ and even ‘Backyard.’ You wouldn’t [normally] hear Trav or even features on instrumentals like that.” See the interview after the jump.

(Video) Uh-Oh! Guess Which Artist Wants Off YMCMB!

Mystikal x Birdman x Lil Wayne

When Mystikal was released from a long-term prison sentence in 2011, he seemed to be on the verge of a major comeback after signing to Cash Money Records. Unfortunately, though he’s put out a couple of songs and videos since then, nothing else has come out of the deal, and much like many others before him, Mystikal now wants out of his YMCMB contract. Walking the red carpet at the 2014 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards on Friday night, the New Orleans rapper rapper revealed that he is clashing with the label and is ready to split.

“I don’t really fit the mold of the situation I’m in,” Mystikal told Rap-Up TV. “I’m different, man. I have to be able to be the artist that I am. If I can’t do that, then it’s not gonna work for me.”

There’s no bad blood, though! “That’s all respect. That’s family,” he said of the YMCMB camp. “We were family prior to this. And I thank them for the opportunity, but I don’t wanna be a liability to them ’cause it’s a waste of money, if nothing ever comes from it.” Hopefully they let him do this thing!
