McLaren will reportedly be offering a handful of upgrades for the 2013 model year MP4-12C supercar. Car and Driver reports that the most significant upgrade is a power bump – 25 horsepower – which now brings the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8’s total output to a screaming 618 hp. Funk Flex

Auto Talk: McLaren slows MP4-12C production over quality woes

Autoweek reports that McLaren is slowing down production of the company’s MP4-12C due to quality concerns. The automaker is currently working on fixes to small problems like condensation in the vehicle’s headlights, door functionality and an electrical issue that causes the battery to go dead over time. McLaren is refuting reports that the quality issues are safety or performance related in any way.
