(Video) Jennifer Lopez Performs A Heart-Felt Tribute To Selena At Billboard Latin Music Awards

Ever since she starred in the Selena Quintanilla biopic back in the day, J.Lo has alwyays resembled a spitting image of the late Mexican performer, Selena. At the 2015 Latin Billboard Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez hit the stage in an extravagant dress to honor the legendary singer’s life with an extremely touching and heart-felt tribute. She joined Los Dinos on stage, Selena’s old bandmates (and siblings,) Suzette and A.B. and her widow Chris Perez. J.Lo opened the tribute by performing “Como La Flor” (without a dry eye watching) and then transitioned to “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” and later went on to perform some of her classic hits such as “Amor Prohibido,” “I Could Fall In Love” and “No Me Queda Mas.” The whole performance was extremely emotional, but beautifully constructed and thought-out. Take a look at J. Lo’s Selena tribute below. Make sure to grab a box of tissues before hand, though. Sheesh. RIP SELENA!

A Selena Hologram Is Reportedly On The Way

Just one week after the 20th anniversary of her passing, Selena fans may or may not be happy to hear that she’ll be following in the footsteps of Tupac and Eazy-E, and will receive her very own hologram. Posted to the official Facebook page of the late singer, it was revealed that “Selena The One” is on the way, described as “the development of a walking, talking, singing, and dancing, digital embodiment” of Selena, created by Acrovirt, LLC. The post goes on to say that Acrovirt is working with Selena’s immediate family, along with cutting-edge scientists, and this hologram will “release new songs and videos, will collaborate with current hit artists, and aims to go on tour in 2018.”
