The Sneaker Con in Washington D.C goes down today starting at 12 Noon to 7 p.m. Come out and bring your latest crispy sneakers to the event and be ready to buy,sell & trade from some of the top sneaker heads in the nations capital. The event will take place at George Washington University in the Charles E. Smith Center.

SneakerCon NYC went down this Saturday (July 13th) in the LES at Basketball City. The newly renovated building holds about 2600 people and let me tell you, it was packed! When I got there the line was about 350 people deep, props to the people who waited on that! Yikes! Inside I was greeted with a sea of vendors and collectors showing off their goods. The middle of the huge room was turned into a “camp grounds” where buyers/sellers stood claim over a small area and set up shop on the floor. Mutombo was there courtesy of Adidas, although the line to meet him was too long for me, I was taking a sneak pic of him once everyone was gone when he caught me, looked up, and gave me his signature “No No No” complete with finger wave and all (pic in gallery). Now there was one HUGE downfall of this event, there was hardly any ac! Looked like everyone just got done working out, not cool. It’s also crazy to see the transition of these events. As someone who has been attending various ones since 2008, I can say they have changed so much. Overall it’s always a good time though, especially at Sneakercon. Kicks: Sneaker Con 2013 Review
The Sneaker Con was in full affect yesterday. Wow, any sneaker heads dream to be in the midst of all the sneaker heat. It was most definitely a site to see and in attendance was former NBA star, Dikembe Mutombo introducing his newest Adidas originals. So many sneaker heads were in attendance and vendors who packed the house with adundance heat like old school Supreme Hats, Bape, BBC, Classic and Very rare NBA Jerseys, Exclusive Nike SB’s and whatever you were looking for was all in one building. I am sure many people spent out as you could also trade and sell some of your kicks if you pleased. My first time I had a blast looking forward to the next Sneaker Con in NY next year. Sneaker Con is making their last stop on the Summer 2013 tour and of corse it has to be in NYC. It all goes down next weekend at Basketball City from 12-7pm. They have about 150 vendors featuring shoes, clothing and accessories. Adidas is bringing along special guest, Dikembe Mutombo, who will introduce the upcoming retro of his signature sneaker. With so many new sneaker events lately, Sneaker con knows how to stick to the basics and produce a good event. To avoid those lines, you can buy advance tickets here.
