MLB: Yankee’s Closer Mariano Rivera Ties Record for All-Time Career Saves

Trevor Hoffman has company.  Mariano Rivera recorded his 601st career save in the Yankees’ 7-6 victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday, tying him for the career saves mark. Certainly no spectacle, even if Rivera is widely regarded as the best ever at what he does. Just warm hugs and appreciative handshakes from Yankees teammates. And even that might have been more than what Rivera wanted following the 600th save of his remarkable career.
