The NBA is taking ”appropriate” security measures for its European preseason tour amid heightened terror concerns, although team schedules and activities remain unchanged.

Officials for the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves in London say they will continue with practices and youth clinics as planned before Monday’s game at the O2 Arena.

Mike Bass, the NBA senior vice president for marketing and communications, says the league is ”taking all appropriate security measures.”  Lakers spokesman John Black says authorities are ”keeping us informed of the situation.”

The State Department on Sunday issued a a travel alert for Europe that advises U.S. citizens living or traveling there to take more precautions about their personal security.
