UFC will make its Pittsburgh debut on June 26, the promotion announced on Wednesday.

The event (UFC on Versus 4) will be held at Consol Energy Center, which is home to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.

Matches for the event are still being negotiated, but White revealed that former lightweight Tyson Griffin is slated to make his initial appearance as a featherweight inside the Octagon.

“Highly ranked Manvel Gamburyan and the always-exciting Tyson Griffin have verbally agreed to face one another June 26,” UFC president Dana White said on the promotion’s website.

Griffin (14-5-0) will look to end a three-fight skid. Gamburyan (11-5-0) was knocked out in Round 2 during his most recent outing on Sept. 30, 2010, by UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo.
