Police in the Denver suburb of Aurora said an officer spotted Jasmine Fike outside a fast-food restaurant in Aurora Monday morning and arrested her.
Police said she didn’t require medical attention and is being held at a juvenile jail.
Police say they expect to pursue charges against her but haven’t given specifics. They are also looking for individuals identified only as “known criminals” in connection with the investigation, the Denver Post reports.
A statewide Amber Alert was issued for the girl last week, but authorities then said she had staged an apparent kidnapping and was considered a runaway.
The girl had been missing since last Wednesday when she made a 9-1-1 call and called her mother to say a former drug dealer and felon was banging on the door, according to the newspaper. The girl was gone when police arrived at the home.
