If the New England Patriots decide they want to give Randy Moss another shot, quarterback Tom Brady would welcome the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver back. But Brady’s endorsement doesn’t mean coach Bill Belichick is about to give Moss a call.

Brady and Moss apparently parted on good terms after the Patriots traded him to the Vikings last season.

“I love Randy, he’s one of the greatest receivers in the history of the game, one of the greatest players I’ve had a chance to play with,” Brady said on WEEI radio during a Monday interview. “But unfortunately, I don’t make personnel decisions.”

Brady said he had no clue if Moss really wanted to return to the NFL.

“Who knows?” Brady said. “I can’t get into his brain. I love the guy, he’s a great friend of mine, and if he ever did come back to play, I’d welcome him with open arms.”

But for Moss to return to the Patriots, Belichick would have to welcome the idea as well.
