A Queens woman was stabbed to death early Thursday by her ex-boyfriend, a registered sex offender whom she had refused to let back into her life, police said.

The suspect, Charlie Mitchell, 53, fled from the slain woman’s home shortly after 4 a.m. and is now the subject of a manhunt, with detectives showing his photo to passersby and warning them he is presumed to be armed and dangerous.

Police say the convicted perv killed Elizabeth Harris, 48, inside her apartment on Beach 96th St. in Far Rockaway, knifing her in the abdomen and cutting her head.

He then shamelessly attacked her two young daughters.

He assaulted Harris’ 16-year-old daughter, who is pregnant, and then sliced her 15-year-old daughter in the arm and head, police said. Both teens were not badly hurt, but the younger of the two girls needed eight stitches to close her wounds, said a neighbor, Adelaida Roman, 27.

Mitchell and Harris met on the Internet and ended their relationship about a month ago, with Harris booting him out of her apartment.

Neighbors told The Daily News he was previously abusive toward her, physically beating her and even once assaulting her pregnant daughter.

Harris may have also been sexually assaulted before she was fatally stabbed, an FDNY source said. She was taken to Peninsula General Hospital, where she died.

Police officials did not reveal whether the daughters incurred Mitchell’s wrath because they tried to prevent the attack against their mother.

Mitchell is a Level 2 sex offender. He was conditionally released by parole in 2008 after serving prison time for rape.

Roman said Harris let him back into her life after they initially called it quits, and he was no gentleman, even while trying to re-enter her good graces.

“He beat her up about two or three months ago,” Roman said, “Her eyes were all black, and she had to wear sunglasses. It’s scary. I have a granddaughter. I want them to catch him.

“I don’t want him in my neighborhood.”

Devastated by the sad end to her neighbor’s life, Roman described Harris as a “really nice woman,” who simply picked the wrong man to date.

“She let him in over and over,” Roman said. “And now she’s dead.”
