Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is nursing a fractured right thumb.

Roethlisberger says he suffered the injury sometime during Sunday’s 24-17 win over Cincinnati. He noticed the injury while coming out for the second half but did not miss a snap. He completed 7 of 11 passes for 70 yards in the second half as the Steelers improved to 7-3.

Roethlisberger wore a black bandage over the thumb on Tuesday and said he doesn’t expect the injury to be a factor. The Steelers are off this weekend before traveling to Kansas City on Nov. 27.

Roethlisberger dealt with a similar injury in 2005 and wore a protective sleeve as the Steelers won their fifth Super Bowl title.
