Sonaro may appear as just another overnight success to the casual hip hop fan. The truth of the matter is the New York producer has been crafting hits since the early 2000′s. He pursued a rap career within the Far Rockaway area prior to committing his life to production.

The Queens born, Brooklyn raised producer happens to be one of the remaining members of Desert Storm’s glory days. Sonaro was afforded the opportunity at a young age to showcase his craft with memorable acts such as the A-Team (Ransom & Hitchcock), Joe Budden, Fabolous, and the late Stack Bundles (R.I.P).

As a result of his access to such great talents, Sonaro was able to provide the beat for a soon-to-be classic underground record. He produced “Ya Dig” , a record featured on Jim Jones’ 2006 M.O.B ” Members Of Byrdgang” release, which featured the likes of Max B, Mel Matrix, and Stack Bundles. He also was able to contribute “Cold Rockin” to Stack Bundles’ 2006 “Biddin’ War Vol.2″ mixtape

After experiencing success on a minor scale, Sonaro was determined to show the game he was able to produce hits for the mainstream artists of the industry. He worked with legendary producer Needlz for a brief period of time, gaining experience that would prove valuable in the future production.

Fast forward to 2010.

Fabolous debuts the second installment of his “There Is No Competition” trilogy, subtitled “The Funeral Service“. Sonaro delivers “Body Ya” the first single from the project. Fabolous went on to re-release the project as an on official EP in August of that year as a result of the record’s commercial success. On the EP version, Sonaro was able to gain a placement for his “Body Count” contribution. In April 2011, the two would join forces again on The S.O.U.L Tape, creating “Leaving You”. The record would prove to be a standout, despite not becoming an official single.

December 2011 arrives. Fab’s closeout installment to his series, There Is No Competiton III: “Death Comes In 3′s” is released. Sonaro contributes the smash hit, “Swag Champ”. The record goes on to receive a solid amount of radio play, resulting in the official video release in July. He also contributed the record “B.E.T” ,which featured Jadakiss & Styles P.

Sonaro continues to strive for excellence. With Lloyd Banks, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, and Fabolous on his resume, there’s a good chance this will not the first and last time you hear his name.
