Despite losing court cases to Apple this year we can say Samsung had a fairly successful 2012. With the success of the GS III and Note II we can only expect bigger things from Samsung in 2013. In 2012 Samsung became the number shipper of mobile devices overtaking falling company Nokia and even out performing Apple in the 3rd quarter this year. For 2013 Samsung expects to move aleast 510 million mobile devices, a 20% increase from 2012. With the GS IV dropping in the 2nd quarter and possibly debuting at CES and having the Note III already in the works look for Samsung to meet their expectations for 2013.
