Could we have another Adrian Peterson on our hands?  Peterson’s miraculous recovery from a torn ACL and MCL wowed everyone as he completed a near record setting season that ended with MVP honors.  Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III went down with an ACL injury in the Redskins playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks.  Griffin is being treated and cared for by one of the best orthopedic surgeon’s, Dr. Andrews.  Griffin has already proven to be a superior athlete and like AP he reportedly has “superhuman” recovery skills as well.  Read more after the jump.

Andrew’s recently said that Griffin was “way ahead of schedule” and now he’s  gone a bit further.

Dr. Andrews also described RGIII and Lattimore as “superhuman,” in their ability and motivation to recover. Compared to Bo Jackson and AP.

While it is great to hear that Griffin is doing well with recovery, expectations are now raised about when and how well he will comeback.  Public opinion might force Griffin to play week 1 although he may not be ready by that time.  We already know about Griffin’s willingness to play through the pain as he did during the playoffs when Dr. Andrew’s said he wasn’t “medically cleared”.  Additional damage to knee might be irreparable so it’s best he take as many precautions as possible and allow his body to heal.
