Things were looking up for out of work wide receiver Terrell Owens. He signed with Next Models LA and was slowly climbing his way out of debt. Unfortunately Owens is still looking for that chance with the NFL. Read more after the jump.

Free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens told CSNChicago.com that he’s in great shape and would love to play for the Chicago Bears.
“I played my first early years in San Francisco with [Bears head coach Marc Trestman] and shortly after that, he left to do some things,” Owens said. “I haven’t talked to Marc in a long while. I know he’s gone on and done some things, now he’s back in the NFL. So, I never really thought about it until myself and Napoleon were talking about it earlier, but I would definitely welcome it if they would give it some serious consideration. To think about [Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall] on the other side and me on one side, that’s really dangerous. I’m keeping myself in shape just for any opportunity that may come about.”
While Owens may believe he is in great shape, at 39 years old his clock is beyond ticking. His last showing was with the Seattle Seahawks and after several drops he failed to make their roster and was cut before the season began. TO’s shot at making it back to the NFL is slim to none but I guess he shouldn’t give up hope, you never know what can happen.
