A Wisconsin woman was sentenced to five years in prison due to the way that she chose to deal with her “troubled” stepdaughter. The woman found the solution to her “troubles” in locking her child away. Read more after jump
The mother, well if we can even call her that, is accused of torturing and neglecting to give her stepdaughter food, to the point where she reached 68 pounds. The starvation and neglect continued for five years. The teenage girl is accusing her parents of locking her in a basement for five years. During this time she was mistreated constantly, beaten and deprived of food. She is also accusing her step brother of forcing her to perform sexual acts onto him. The case had opened when a man on a motorcycle had reported that he had found the teenager walking in the street without any shoes and minimal clothing. The Wisconsin woman took the stand and sad this of the allegations brought upon her by her stepdaughter:
“We did not have the skills necessary to meet her needs,” the woman told the judge, choking back tears. “There is so much said that’s not true. It seems no one wants to believe what I’m saying.”
