The 2014 NBA All-Star reserves were announced and Pacers guard Lance Stephenson was notably left off.  Averaging 14.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists on the best team in the Eastern Conference, Stephenson was undoubtedly snubbed and had no problem expressing his feelings about the matter.

But there was still anger beneath the surface less than 24 hours after Stephenson’s learned NBA coaches did not vote him as a reserve to the Eastern Conference all-star team.

“I’m mad,” Stephenson said. “I feel like I had my breakout year last year. I showed I can play with anyone on the floor and I felt like this year, I brought a little bit more to my game.

“But other people saw it differently. I’m just going to keep working hard and prove everyone wrong.”

The night the reserves were announced, Stephenson had his league leading fourth triple-double of the season dropping 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.  Stephenson’s teammates Paul George (starter) and Roy Hibbert (reserve) did make the team and he would’ve been the third member.  Instead the Miami Heat has three players yet again with Lebron James (starter), Dwyane Wade (starter) and Chris Bosh (reserve).
