This story is still developing. Late last night UFC star Thiago Silva was arrested and charged with attempted murder. It started after police in Broward County, FL were called to a jiu-jitsu school after a man was there threatening to kill people. That man was Silva, who had already left by the time police got there and went back home and barricaded himself inside. The SWAT team arrived and after a couple hours Silva gave himself up. Some reports also have him threatening his wife inside the home because she wanted his money, amongst other things. The fighter was booked on 4 criminal charges — 2 counts of attempted felony murder, one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of resisting arrest. He had a fight scheduled for March, but I guess it’s over for that now.
