The sports world blew up last night when Marcus Smart approached and pushed a fan during Oklahoma St.’s 65-61 loss to Texas Tech. As the night progressed more details were released as to what happened and it’s definitely a crazy situation.
Here’s the initial incident:
It was later reported that Smart told his coaches the man called him the N-word. Also the man was identified as Jeff Orr, a Texas Tech “superfan”.
Orr also has a history of this type of behavior.
Later Orr sent a text message to a friend who is also a friend of CBS personality Doug Gottlieb. Orr admits to saying something he “shouldn’t have” but denies saying the N-word or anything vulgar.
Then new reports surfaced that Orr told Smart to “go back to Africa”. Still not sure if the N-word was added. Either way it’s a pretty deplorable act.
