After Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving did their victory handshake, it quickly spread across numerous blogs and mainstream media. The reason it garnered so much attention is because at the end, it looked like Love and Irving were smoking on an imaginary blunt. Well according to reps for the Cleveland Cavaliers, that’s not the case.
Cavaliers statement via Cleveland.com:
“To clarify, they are quickly sharpening the end of an imaginary mustache at the end of their exchange with each other. It has nothing to do with smoking a joint as some blogs (and even some mainstream folks now) are suggesting/reporting.”
Eh, do you buy it? Big time PR execs are trained to clean up mishaps like this, or they could be telling the truth, who knows…
