Black Father Doesn’t Allow Kids To Wear Hoodies. After the tragic death of both Trayvon Martin & Mike Brown (RIP) at the hands of law enforcement’s, some may question if both would still be alive today if their skin color were different.
One African-American parent isn’t taking any chances of having his kids possibly gunned down by law enforcement’s and is taking every measure to prevent it. He says “I want to make sure that my kids are not wearing clothes that may suggest that they’re part of the criminal element”.. “No Hoodies, No dark clothes, Khaki pants, no sweatshirts with words on them, no colored high top shoes” etc. Hold on a second here, what? Do you honestly think that by picking and choosing what your kids will wear every day, you can prevent them from being a possible target from these blood-thirsty police officers? How about tackling the real issue of why you have to do this in the first place and why your kids can’t wear what they like to wear? Or why African-Americans are being specifically targeted and why they don’t have equal rights as other races in the country? These are some of the things he should focus on addressing rather than how his kids look when they’re outside because some of these police offers only see skin color, not how properly dressed a person is. Let me know what you guys think about this father? Overreacting or smart man?
