Though he hasn’t been happy with their play lately, Snoop Dogg was a huge USC football fan. His son Cordell Broadus – one of the top wide receivers in the country – was being recruited by both USC and UCLA. Today is National Signing Day for college football and Cordell Broadus commits to UCLA. Snoop was on hand with his son as he made the big announcement on ESPN. In fact Snoop says he’s so supportive of his son, he’s throwing out his USC fanhood including his USC draws.
“I feel that UCLA is the best fit for me,” Broadus said during his announcement on ESPNU. “I had the offer since my nine-grade year, so I had a great connection with the coaches. I just want to play in front of my family and keep ballin’ out on the field and get a great degree.”
Broadus will play on the same team team as Diddy’s son Justin Combs — who’s a defensive back for the UCLA Bruins.
“It’s been awesome just watching him step into manhood and make a decision that he’s comfortable with,” Snoop Dogg said. “I’m gonna back him up 100% … so I’m throwing out my USC drawers.”
