In the first Video Lee Daniels Talks about the Hit Show “Empire” He reveals that the infamous scene where the boy comes down in heels and later gets thrown in the trash was so painful for him. He literally broke down and had to have someone else direct that scene. He shared a conversation his father had with him before he passed. His father asked Why did he choose to be gay? It’s already hard enough being a black man. He also talks about addressing homosexuality in the African American community.
He shifts gears and talks about the “Blackballed” comment and Mo’nique. He states that the “Precious” actress didn’t play the game. Mo’Niques responds to Lee’s comments in the second clip.She states that she had to have a standard as an Oscar winning actress.She also states she only received 50,000 for her role in “Precious” Wow.
