Lordy lordt … 50 Shades of Grey has gotten the attention of pretty much EVERYONE. EVERYONE includes 11-year-old Liam Scholes and his teachers at Sale High School in northwestern England. Although the film – and book – is rated R, it that didn’t stop Liam from dressing up as Christian Grey – equipped with plastic ties and an eye mask. His mother allowed it, but the school did not.

Feb. 5 is celebrated as World Book Day. To commemorate the day, Sale High School allowed its students to dress up as their favorite book characters. Why Liam came to school as Christian Grey is beyond me, and the school too. The school stated that the young child had to go home and change. It was a choice that, “reflects the school’s high standards in terms of student behavior, welfare and safeguarding.”

While many see problems with this effort, Liam’s mother Nicola Scholes didn’t. She didn’t care because … well, blame it on the media. As soon as the other students saw the ‘fit “every child knew who he was,” she said in defense.

Okay, the suit is cool, but really. You couldn’t leave the plastic ties at home? Ehhh…
