Rihanna to star in new documentary that will highlight her start from a normal island girl to international superstar. The full-length film will be directed by Peter Berg, via his new production company, Film 45. Berg, who had worked with RiRi in the past, on the film Battleship, said it would be interesting to examine “a young artist at the top of her professional field” and that the project will be “much more a character study than a music film.”

Fans got a glimpse into Rihanna’s life with docu-short films 777 and Half of Me, but this highlight will be slightly different. This film will be an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon,” according to Deadline. I look forward.

A few weeks ago, Rihanna celebrated her 27th birthday. The fashion killer revealed her joys for life; to wake up and do what she loves. Heck, fans (I love the girl) are just as happy.

27 years ago, my mother gave birth to her very first child at the tender age of 27! Life is never a piece of birthday cake, but I feel special that I was chosen by my Father in Heaven to make it here! And each year that goes by I am more grateful! Every day we wake up, means we get another chance at life….to live what we’ve learned and to discover even more, to be good to other people and to know that you are a part of their smile! I cherish these days, and I pray that God will spare my life to see many more! #Feb20
