As previously reported, Madonna revealed in a recent Howard Stern interview that she once dated Tupac back in the 90s.

“I was in a weird mood that day. I was dating Tupac Shakur at the time and the thing is, he got me all riled up on life in general. So when I went on the show, I was feeling very gangster.”

Well guess who hooked Madonna and Tupac up? Apparently, Rosie Perez! On Friday’s episode of The View, Rosie elaborated on the “relationship,” and explained how she hooked them up when she and Pac went as friends together to the 1993 Soul Train Awards:

“Every female artist there- they kept going, ‘Hi, Rosie.’ ‘Hi’ ‘Hi’. They never spoke to me before! There were two girls, who shall remain nameless, who wanted to beat me up and I was telling Tupac, ‘Will you tell them I ain’t sleeping with you? We’re just friends.’ And he goes, ‘You can take ‘em.’ Madonna comes over, she looks at me, she goes, ‘Girl.’ I go, ‘I gotcha.”

From there, she let Pac know that Madonna wanted to know what’s up, his reply was “hook that up,” and the rest is history – history Rosie says she was very happy about. Watch the full clip below.
