An ex-teammate of Bernard Berrian’s from his college days thought he was being real smart. Turns out not so much, as he is now serving a prison sentence for breaking into Berrian’s home. He actually watched the entire incident go down via his remote cameras while he was at a cookout. The craziest part is, the former teammate, Therrian Fontenot, was just as the same cookout a few minutes earlier!

Bernard Berrian, who starred at wide receiver for the Fresno State Bulldogs before an eight-year NFL career with the Bears and Vikings, recently had his house in Fresno broken into twice. So he installed surveillance cameras and motion sensors.
They worked. A few weeks later, Berrian was at a barbecue when he got an e-mail saying his motion sensors had gone off. So he checked out the live cam of his house on his phone and saw the burglary in progress.
The culprit: former Fresno State teammate Therrian Fontenot, who minutes earlier had been at the barbecue with Berrian.
“It was crazy because we were all sitting around and he actually left from where we were at to go do it,” Berrian told ABC 30. “Boom, motion sensor went off, I get an email, so I click on the live cam.”

Fontenot and Berrian go way back. They connected in college on the gridiron and ever since have remained good personal friends. Recently Berrian had noticed Fontenot had become more inquisitive.
“He would always call me and try to ask me where I was, make sure I was out of town,” said Berrian. “If I was home all the time, he’d blow up other friends in the crew asking them the same question, where’s Bernard, how come he’s not answering his phone.”
What was taken during the first burglaries made Berrian determined to catch the thief.
Berrian explained, “Oh he took about, what, $30,000 cash total.”
Fontenot pleaded no contest to the most recent burglary (police couldn’t charge him with the earlier ones, citing a lack of evidence) and was sentenced to six months in jail. Berrian was at his sentencing.
“He tried to keep up with this status that he was this big baller, playing, having a bunch of girls and had money and was traveling everywhere,” Berrian told ABC 30. “But he wasn’t doing that on his own, it was other people that were putting him up.”
He continued: “I mean I hate seeing people go to jail and I hate seeing people get locked up but he got what he had coming to him.”
I think that if a person robs your house, they should get just what the other people get’s a jail sentence, just like any other. but just the idea that the person knows you re something in its self. you tend to trust people believing that they wouldn’t do the tings that you are seeing on your own video security system them reality sets in. and now you are inn kill mode, but you know that that’s not gonna happen, so take their asses to court press all the charges that you can press and let his ass suffer the conserquences like every body else. those are the ones that you have to watch anyway. being too close to you that you wouldn’t suspect that they are the ones that’s ripping yo ass off all the time. evidence speaks for it self. can you say jail time?
