Chance The Rapper seems like he’s always winning. The Chicago rapper will be on SNL today as an independent artist! That’s not the only reason why fans are excited, as Chance tweeted “#ThirdMixtape” today. Follow up to Acid Rap? Hopefully so. Hit the jump for more.
Chance became famous because of his first two mixtapes, 10 Day and Acid Rap. The Chicago rapper built a strong fanbase from the two, relating to kids who like doing psychedelic drugs, like being themselves, and didn’t fit in with the cool crowd at school.
However, Chance has moved away from that subject manner, and dropped an album this year with his long-time friend Donnie Trumpet called Surf. The album received great reviews, however many of his fans are still waiting for a project that sounded more like his first two mixtapes.
Today, Chance The Rapper took to Twitter to talk about how happy he is to be on SNL, and credits Acid Rap for being the reason his career took off. He then ended the tweet with “#ThirdMixtape” which has fans excited for a follow up to Acid Rap.
Hopefully Chance drops a third mixtape. His first two were amazing, so there’s no doubt the third will be great as well.
