Last month the state of Louisiana and more specifically the baton rouge area, were hit hard by massive flooding which cost multiple people their lives and destroyed homes and neighborhoods. Odell Beckham is a native of the state and played his college football at Louisiana State University and because of that he felt the destruction more than many other people, even without physically being there. He decided to do something about it and announced via twitter that he will be donating $500,000 to repair playing fields that were ruined so kids will have somewhere to play and practice.

Odell has his much talked about matchup with Josh Norman and the Redskins this week but at the moment he is worried about more important things.

Some of the money will come from sales of his color rush jersey, which he included a link to on the tweet so if you ever wanted to buy a Giants jersey, this would be the perfect time for the cause.
