Trayvon Martin’s parents have just signed a book deal. In January, they are looking to release their book, shy of Trayvon’s 22nd birthday and almost five years since he was killed by George Zimmerman. Random House’s One World editor Christopher Jackson announced the book during a recent interview.

Jackson describes the book as amazing. He says,

“Everyone who’s been reading the manuscript is in tears by the second chapter. It’s not just about the mournful story about losing a child, but it’s also how that moment ignited this global movement.”

He states the book will bring “Trayvon back to life as the full, three-dimensional, complex kid he was, through his parents’ eyes.” Then it will move on to cover “the dark and confusing days following his death, which slowly transform into the blossoming of a powerful, historic movement for change and healing that we’re still watching unfold five years later.”

The arrival of the book is expected to be on January 31, 2017. Martin’s birthday is February 5. Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton have been working on the book since December 2013. This one will for sure be a must read.
