Tory Lanez got to work as soon as the top of the year hit. The Toronto artist decided to drop two pieces of work at once; Chixtape 4 and The New Toronto 2, pleasing two different types of crowds. As you probably guessed, Chixtape 4 was geared more towards the ladies. Every track on the project samples an R&B song from the 2000’s. In the opening song, “Slow Grind”, Tory and Jacquees take it back to 2005 and uses a very familiar sample from Pretty Ricky’s debut hit “Grind On Me”.
