LaVar Ball is the father to THREE very talented basketball players, Lonzo Ball, LiAngelo Ball, and LaMelo Ball. Lonzo is the oldest and he’s a star at UCLA. Like most proud parents, LaVar boasted about his young star.
During an interview with TMZ Sports, LaVar was asked about the comparison’s people have been making with Lonzo to Stephen Curry.
“You can’t compare my boy to anyone,” said LaVarr. “He’s gonna be better than Steph Curry in the NBA!”
He noted that his son can’t be compared to anybody, but people also compared him to Jason Kidd. LaVar says Lonzo is taller, jumps better, is longer, and has a better shot than Kidd. He also says Lonzo was once compared to Kevin Marshall another “lightskin guard.” It’s clear what LaVar is implying, but if you have to compare Lonzo to somebody, LaVar says it’s Penny Hardaway.
I agree with the father, i just watched this Lonzo Ball highlights on ESPN and the first thing that came to my mind is this guy plays the game like a young Penny Hardaway. Remember when penny came into the league?? His first four years he was a Superstar one of the best before his knee problems.. All the LIL Penny stuff etc… Lonzo is smooth like penny, the height and the vision, Dude is ready!!!
