Blackberry KiK’d that App that IFWT Blew up!!!!!

So top of this month (Nov 1st to be exact) we broke a Messenger App called Kik, which works on Blackberry, Android AND iPhone, and once we did the internet took to it Like Wildfire!!! (After the Jump please see the chart from Kik showing when they took off!) Since the App is compared to BBM, RIM has slowly been pulling away, and well it Looks like RIM has made a final decision after having pulled the wildly popular upstart instant messaging app from the BlackBerry App World a few days ago and for current and hopeful Kik users, the news isn’t good: “RIM became aware of a number of issues and customer concerns regarding the Kik app and service. Following discussions with Kik, the app was removed from BlackBerry App World on November 12. Upon further investigation, RIM concluded that Kik had breached contractual obligations. Based on the broad scope and seriousness of the issues and concerns, RIM terminated its agreements with Kik and withdrew RIM’s support for Kik’s service.” Now, Waterloo is still being pretty coy about what exactly Kik did to rock the boat so badly, but there are two obvious theories floating around: one, that Kik’s contact harvesting was a big privacy no-no; and two, that the product came a little too close to BBM’s functionality for RIM’s comfort. Hard to say what went down, and Kik’s official response doesn’t do much to clear up the situation. Though the company has thrown up a public response on its…

iPhone’s Skyfire Browser App one THE Most Popular

A few weeks ago we wanted to tell you about a cool browser app that let’s you play Flash-based video’s other than youtube on your iPhone(since flash and apple dont see eye to eye, but then skyfire reported that the app was “Sold Out”, which really meant they couldn’t keep up with the demand! And after letting you know about KiK and them shutting down from US(yeah I said it, cause its true, we put them on) I didn’t want to tell you guys about something that wasn’t available, but Skyfire has some what opened back up for biz, and now they are one of the most popular apps, and have made $1M selling about 300k copies at $2.99 a pop!!! Check the Skyfire CEO on CNN after the jump!!! @TatWza

PingChat! 2.0 Free App for Text, Picture, & Video Messenger….Another Cool App for iPhone, Blackberry and Android!!!

Now I Just Downloaded this App for my BB and haven’t really used it, but right away I was Able to add a Profile Pic and a description of me once I get some Contacts they’ll know its me, And Once you have contacts you can get their profile pic and description by inviting them and they accept! From what I researched it seems pretty fast and is a little like BBM with the D(delivered) and R(received), notifications, can send Text, Pics, audio, and Allegedly has the ability for video but you have to record a vid then send it through the messenger, which is still pretty cool, but not like Facetime or Qik/Android realtime Video Apps. Oh and I see you can do group chatting on here which I also Like! It feels like to get contacts the people you know have to have an account and you need to know there username or phone #(cause when you sign up you pick a username or put in your phone#). Now once in and you set up all your stuff, you can go to settings to check you ID or phone # you entered or unregister you ID or Verify your Phone# or turn your Push Notifications on/off and go into your sound profile to set a ringtone right from the app!  Oh In case I forgot it works for iPhone, Blackberry and Android!!! I’ll keep updated for the drawbacks!!! And Note to Pingchat! If you get overloaded like we…

The Bold 9780 looks exactly as People expected it to (meaning not too far from the 9700 design tree), boasting an optical trackpad, QWERTY keyboard, a WebKit-based browser and a five megapixel camera. You’ll also get inbuilt 3G / WiFi, and at least on the T-Mob version, UMA / WiFi calling. We’re told to expect it from “various carriers around the world beginning in November,” with T-Mobile USA confirming that its version will hit on the 17th of next month for $129.99 on a two-year contract. @TatWza
