This is so dope and I’m totally jealous that my college never offered a class as awesome as this one! A class being offered at Georgetown University will be focused on the career and lyrics of Jay-Z. Sociology of Hip Hop: Jay-Z, which will be taught by Michael Eric Dyson, will be open to students this coming up semester. Dyson, who is a friend of Hov’s, has previously taught classes on Marvin Gaye and Tupac Shakur and says that the Jay-Z class will “confront topics present in any sociology course: racial and gender identity, sexuality, capitalism and economic inequality.” Read more about the class and what Jay said about it after the jump. Actress Clarice Taylor, best known for her role as Bill Cosby’s mom on The Cosby Show, has died at the age of 93. Her publicist tells E! News it was due to heart failure on Monday in Englewood, N.J. Rest in peace and condolences to the friends and family! @MarisaMendez
