Frank Ocean Working With Producers Hit-Boy & Rodney Jerkins For New Album

Like Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean has remained silenced about his sophomore album. However, in the midst of preparing for the follow-up to Channel Orange, Ocean did drop the news that he had parted ways with his management team and became the new member on the Three Six Zero management team. In addition to all things good and new, we also hear that the Odd Future star will have big named producers on the upcoming project. Find out more down bottom.

According to REVOLT, while preparing his follow-up to 2012’s Channel Orange, Frank Ocean has decided to part ways with management and publicist Christian and Kelly Clancy of 4 Strikes Management, who managed Ocean since 2010. Despite this move, the Clancy’s still manage the rest of Oceans Odd Future family. Check out their statement as well as what we can expect from Frank Ocean’s sophomore album after the jump.

Interesting: Frank Ocean Fires His Manager & Publicist

As he gears up to release his sophomore album, Frank Ocean is taking an entirely different route with his career and has let go of his former team that helped him the first go ’round with Channel Orange. Christian and Kelly Clancy of 4 Strikes Management, who also manage Tyler the Creator, Solange and Mac Miller, have been let go after 4 years with the singer, as well as the PR firm Life or Death PR, which represents his crew Odd Future as a whole. Though no new manager has been named, Frank has revealed the new PR firm ID PR, who represent Alicia Keys and Snoop Dogg. I’m interested to see where these changes take him!

Frank Ocean hit the scene in 2011 with his Nostalgia Ultra mixtape, and turned it into an album for his major label debut, channel ORANGE, in 2012. Since then, however, we haven’t heard too much from the Odd Future singer, save for a feature here and there. Thankfully, album number 2 is on the way! Taking to his Tumblr late last night, Frank (who no longer has Twitter or Instagram, so it’s not as easy to keep up with him) reposted a photo from the studio (taken by photographer Nabil), revealing that his sophomore project is currently in progress and coming soon. Are you looking forward to new music from the Cali crooner?
