As the BET crew are out shooting their cyphers for this year’s awards, they announced the nominees as well. Find out who is up for what below. The show will be taped in Atlanta on October 1st and air October 11th at 8pm. Kind of silly in this day of Twitter and FB to not air an award show until a week later but hey, that’s me.   LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Willow Smith, & The Roots were among the Hip-Hop stars who won NAACP Image Awards last night. LL walked away with “Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series” for his role in “NCIS: Los Angeles” while Ice Cube was awarded “Best Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” for his TV sitcom. Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Twenty-five years after Martin Luther King Jr.’s life was first honored with a national holiday and nearly 50 years after the civil rights leader’s “I Have a Dream” speech, black and white sports fans alike view the sports world as far more racially progressive and unifying than the rest of society, according to a recent online survey conducted for ESPN.
