NBA: Kevin Durant Says Carmelo Anthony Can Have the Scoring Title

The New York Knicks and the Oklahoma City Thunder will face off on Sunday in a game with many storylines.  The Thunder are trying to clinch the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, the Knicks are trying to clinch the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference as well as continue their now 11-game winning streak.  Another big story is the scoring race between Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant.  The two are running neck and neck, and while a fourth scoring title would make history for Durant, he has other more pressing worries.  Read more after the jump.


NFL: Tom Coughlin Says the Giants Would Have Won Another Super Bowl If Plaxico Burress Didn’t Shoot Himself

I”m sure Plaxico Burress will never forget and regret that faithful night when he accidently shot himself in the leg.  He not only pressed pause on a successful career, he also had to spend almost two years of his life behind bars.  If that’s not enough, now he’s shouldering the blame for the Giants not winning another Super Bowl.  Read more after the jump.

Terrence Ross won the dunk contest this year with a series of incredible dunks, so we already know the man has skills.  But pulling off contest-worthy dunks in an actual game is always special, so we bring you this 360 throwdown that Ross completed in the Raptors’ win over the Timberwolves on Friday.  Check it out after the jump.


(Photo) NCAA: Adidas Pulls Controversial Kevin Ware T-Shirts

Controversy arose when Adidas rolled out new T-shirts following the brutal leg injury of Louisville Cardinals’ Kevin Ware.  It was great to show support of him but the problem is, it’s against NCAA rules for student athletes to get any of the profits; so basically Adidas was pocketing all the cash.  The shirts added fuel to the already growing debate of whether or not college athletes should be paid.  Things got a bit too intense for Adidas and they pulled the shirts.  Read more after the jump.


NFL: Aaron Ross Apologizes For Saying Time With Jaguars Was Like a “Paid Vacation”

Aaron Ross, the cornerback who played for the Giants from 2007 to 2011, left for the Jaguars in 2012 and then returned to the Giants this year, is in hot water for saying on Friday that he viewed his year in Jacksonville as a nice paid vacation in Florida.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Michael Beasley Says He’s Stopped Listening to Everybody Including His Coaches

Michael Beasley is very athletic and has the ability to do well in the league.  The problem is, he often doesn’t live up to his potential and obstacles (mainly himself) tend to get in the way of his production.  Recently however he’s been stepping up and getting the job done, albeit somewhat in vain since the Suns season is basically over; it’s still good to have hope that he’ll keep it up for the future.  So what led to the sudden change?  Read more after the jump.
