Nicki Minaj will be opening up the MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday, MTV has announced. The female MC will join previously announced performers Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tori Kelly, A$AP Rocky and Twenty One Pilots who are scheduled to hit the VMA stage. Miley Cyrus will host the proceedings, and Kanye West will be receiving the ceremony’s highest honor, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
