Digital music is the wave. It worked out great for Jay and Ye releasing only digital at first to prevent early leaks. I like to actually hold a cd even though I dont use them but it appears digital is the preference with the ratio compared to physical sales. Check out the stats after the jump. Weekly Top 10 Album Sales … Adele Right Back At 1; @Drake & @YoungJeezy At 2 & 3!
After being dethroned for a few weeks with Christmas albums, Adele is right back at the number one spot for the 14th time! Will this album ever stop selling?! “21” sold an additional 144k copies last week, placing the album’s total at almost 6 million sold since its release last February! Insane! Weekly Top 10 Album Sales … Christmas Rules The Charts Once Again
I really love doing the Billboard breakdown each week! Not sure why! Anyway, it’s no surprise that the week before Christmas, the holiday-themed albums ruled the charts once again. Michael Buble hit number one for the fourth week in a row with “Christmas,” selling 448k copies this week! A CHRISTMAS album has sold 1.96 million in less than 2 months! Kind of crazy! As we rapidly approach Santa’s arrival, two out of the top 3 albums this week on the Billboard 200 are Christmas albums. The other being Adele, who has been going insanely strong for MONTHS now.
