Hold Up, Wait A Minute: Meek Mill Loses Lawsuit Against Philadelphia Police Department

MMG rapper Meek Mill filed a lawsuit against Philadelphia PD for an unlawful arrest from 2012 that cost him an endorsement deal with Puma. The police arrested Meek for alleged drug use on his tour bus, but he claims it was racially motivated. Unfortunately, Meek lost in court this past Thursday. The Philly native says, “In neighborhoods like where I come from, four black males in a car … we’re always being asked to be searched. All I was doing that night was going to work and doing what I had to do.” The arresting officer, Andre Boyer, has been fired since then for lying about various traffic stops and receiving lots of civil complaints. Hmmm, doesn’t add up. See what Meek had to say about the whole ordeal via his Twitter account in the gallery.

Philadelphia Police Officer That Meek Mill Is Suing Has Been Producing Fake Documents ?!?!

Shady shady shady! Back in January Meek Mill filed a lawsuit against the Philadelphia police department stating, he was illegally being held by arresting officers, Andre Boyer and Michael Vargas. According to court documents, Meek Mill claims that the illegal arrest caused him to lose a deposit on a private jet, as well as income from a show. It’s been bought to the attention of the media and judges that one of the officers, Andre Boyer, “In the interest of productivity (900 arrests in less than two years) he cut some clerical corners.” Words from his own mouth, Boyer is known to frisk everyone, in every car, that he’s ever stopped. Looks like Meek has a really high probability chance of winning this one. “It will have an effect on the case,” Meek Mill’s lawyer Dennis Cogan said. “We’re talking about institutional indifference.” The hearing for the case will be held April 28th, so we’ll see what happens. Drop down bottom to see what officer, Boyer is doing in retaliation of these allegations.

(Photos) Meek Mill Filed Court Papers To Sue The Philadelphia PD For WHAT !?!?

Damn though. Philadelphia PD f**ked up now! Meek Mill is suing his hometown police department, and more specifically officers Andre Boyer and Michael Vargas, because of his unnecessary arrest back in October. Police held Meek for nine hours before they let him go without any charges being pressed against him. While in custody the officers, “posted and published, or caused to be posted and published, on Instagram and other social media websites, depicting plaintiff in police custody, held plaintiff in custody against his will in a jail cell for approximately nine (9) hours, after which time plaintiff was released on November 1, 2012, at 4:30 a.m., without being charged with any criminal activity and having caused plaintiff to miss a scheduled promotional appearance in Atlanta, Georgia.” The courts papers are saying that his civil rights were violated in a major way. Meek (also known as Robert Williams – new to me, LoL) is suing for “anxiety and embarrassment associated with plaintiff being placed in a false light; and the anxiety and embarrassment of being seized, detained, confined and imprisoned against plaintiff’s will.” WoW! I say get them where it hurts – in their pockets! The police in Philly, Jersey, and NYC is always messing with somebody. What ya’ll think, should he sue or NOT? Let me know your thoughts. Drop down bottom and check out the court papers. JaaiR (JR)
