(Photos) Tyler, The Creator Makes A Big Change

Since July of 2010, Tyler, The Creator has been on Twitter under the infamous handle, @fucktyler. Of course, this isn’t the most family-friendly name, but as an artist who thrived off controversy and whose popularity reigned mainly on an underground level, this wasn’t much of a concern for the young rapper. Times have changed, however.

(Photos) Peter Rosenberg Calls Out Drake On Twitter For Coming At Meek Again

Over the weekend, Drake took the opportunity to throw more shots at Meek Mill, once in D.C. and then again in Meek’s own hometown of Philly. Some see it as sport and don’t feel bad for Meek because he started the beef, while others feel like Drake is taking it way too far (he did call him a “p*ssy,” after all,) and should let it go. Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg falls into the category of the latter.

(Photos) Ice Cube Confirms Whether Or Not A ‘Friday’ Remake Is Happening With His Son

ifwt_Ice-Cube-x-Oshea

Over the weekend, rumors started circulating that Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., would reprise his father’s role in a remake of his 90s classic, Friday, alongside comedian DC Young Fly. Because of both young actors’ resemblance to the original characters, memes suggesting the remake should happen have been circulating since O’Shea was introduced to the masses in last summer’s Straight Outta Compton. However, they seemed to become a reality when what appeared to be O’Shea’s official Facebook page posted this weekend that it was happening.

Chance The Rapper’s New Website Is Dedicated To Bringing His Music To Radio

ifwt_Chance The Rapper MAIN

Chance The Rapper is fully independent, and made history earlier this year when his album became the first streaming-only project to chart on top 10 on the Billboard 200. His success comes solely from the support of fans who attend shows, buy merch and stream the music, but now he wants to bring it even further. “I want you to share my music in whatever city you’re in with as many people as possible,” Chance tweeted yesterday. “The radio is like a huge listening party for people of all demographics to get in tune. In those moment its mad ppl in harmony. #optioncee requires your twitter and will take place over the next few weeks. It has phases so I’ll keep tweaking it but let’s take over! I present #optioncee aka rapperradio.com. When you type in your city, a tweet to city button should appear. Will be up ASAP.”

Joe Budden’s + Ebro In The Morning’s Reactions To Drake Bringing Out Eminem

ifwt_Em x Drake

Drake made quite the moment on stage last night in Detroit, bringing out the city’s hometown hero, Eminem, to perform their 2009 song, “Forever.” While this is a moment in and of itself, the impact it had was that much more, considering the rumors that circulated last week about the pair having beef because of Eminem’s close affiliation to Joe Budden. As you know, the rumor was started when Ebro referenced a convo with Drake where he joked about the possibility of a diss from Em on Joe‘s behalf, and listeners thought he was saying it was a serious conversation.

Tory Lanez Doesn’t Expect To Sell A Lot Of Albums

ifwt_Tory Lanez

Tory Lanez debut album, I Told You, will drop this Friday, August 19. Though the Toronto artist has seen success with hit singles like “Say It” and more recently, “Luv,” he doesn’t have much faith that the project will actually sell. “I’m fairly new to how this “album thing” works. So I’m not expecting much sales wise,” he reportedly wrote in a now-deleted tweet, according to Vlad TV. “But Musically my album is the best album this year.”
