#MusicStillMatters NEW MUSIC: Rihanna Feat. Drake – Work

Rihanna steps back into the spotlight with her new single featuring Drake in preparation for her upcoming album, ANTI.

(Photo) Is Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’ Album Finished?

It seems that for Rihanna fans the wait for her highly anticipated album ‘ANTI’ is finally almost over. After several potential released dates and came and passed with still no sign of the album, and songwriter Sia revealing that Rihanna was still searching for songs at the end of last year fans were left frustrated feeling like it would never come. However, Monday (January 25th) RiRi posted a flawless selfie, wearing Napa Leather Rhinestone headphones telling fans she’s currently listening to the new album. While details about her eighth studio album still remain sparse, it only seems fitting that the album will drop sooner than later as the kick off to her ‘ANTI’ World Tour with Travi$ Scott is just one month away. Hopefully, we’ll get more hints soon. Head on over to the gallery for more.

Kanye West Is No Longer Executive-Producing Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’

About a year ago, before we even got a title for Rihanna’s eighth studio album but were anticipating it just as much as we are now, it was reported that Kanye West would be executive-producing the project. The pair had just put out “FourFiveSeconds” together with Paul McCartney, a track that was set to live on ANTI, and Kanye revealed that had sparked the decision for him to oversee the project as whole. Unfortunately, that has changed. The underwhelming reception of not only “FourFiveSeconds” but of its follow-ups “American Oxygen” and BBHMM,” reportedly caused Rihanna to go in a totally different direction for the album, which clearly has caused some hold-ups in its release. Perhaps because they realized what they were doing wasn’t working, or perhaps because the delay interrupted Kanye’s current plans for his own album, they’ve nixed the executive-production idea all together.

(Photos + Video) Looks Like Rihanna & Drake Were Shooting A Video Together This Weekend!

Last week, a call sheet began making its rounds on Twitter, purporting to be for the video to a song called “Work” from Rihanna, featuring Drake. (That means this would live on ANTI.) These kind of things end up online all the time and they’re often fake…but this one appeared to be confirmed after tons of photos and videos of the pair shooting a video surfaced on social media over the weekend! Following DJ Khaled putting up a Snapchat clip from what appeared to be a video set with Drizzy saying they’re “up to something,” fans began reporting seeing the former couple at an LA shopping mall, and even were able to record snippets of the song! Check out pics and video from the set below. Can’t wait to hear the full record!

Travi$ Scott Responds To Songwriter’s Claims That He’s The Reason Behind ‘ANTI’ Hold Up

Over the weekend, a guy who goes by the name of Glass John, who is being touted as “a Rihanna songwriter” (though I don’t know what credits he has), went into a crazy rant about the hold up of ANTI. Aside from saying that Rih is his legitimate wife and that they’d planned to make the announcement to the world earlier this year, John was blasting her rumored beau Travi$ Scott, claiming he’s the reason the album has been delayed so much, and that he’s also the cause of the missteps prior, like the release of the underwhelming “B*tch Better Have My Money.” 3 days later, the tweets spilling all types of tea remain up, which make me question the true validity. Had they really been filled with Rihanna‘s dirty little secrets, wouldn’t a cease and desist have already happened? Wouldn’t this guy be in jeopardy of losing his “songwriter” job? I’m just confused. He also attempted to leak a piece of a single called “Kiss It Better,” but Roc Nation came through and snatched that up with the quickness. Travi$ has since given a small response on his Snapchat, simply denying any of this is true. I’m not sure how much truth is here, but it’s certainly an interesting scenario… Check it out in the gallery!
