Drake Breaks Billboard Record Thanks To “Believe Me”

Tha Carter V and Views From The 6 are both highly anticipated and coming soon, they’re gearing up to hit the road together next month and now they’re topping Billboard charts and breaking records. Drake and Lil Wayne are a force to be reckoned with – together and alone! Thanks to the Carter V cut, “Believe Me,” Drake has now received his 14th #1 record on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart – the most number one songs of any artist, ever. The track also makes for Tune’s 10th #1, putting him in as just the third act, following Drizzy and Usher (at 13) to reach a double-digits for number ones. Beleee dat!

Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 7/20/14 … Weird Al Yankovic Gets His First #1 Album Ever!

After more than 30 years in the game, Weird Al Yankovic has earned his first number 1 album on the Billboard 200, as Mandatory Fun debuted with 104k copies sold this week! The album is the first comedy set to top the chart since 1963, and logs the largest sales week for a comedy album since January 1994, when The Beavis & Butt-Head Experience sold 118k copies. Crazy! Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 7/13/14 … Sia Earns Her First #1!

Singer/songwriter Sia has earned her first number one on the Billboard 200, with her new album 1000 Forms of Fear coming in at number 1 with 52k copies sold. Sia previously charted twice on the Billboard 200, with 2008’s Some People Have Real Problems peaking at 26, and 2010’s We Are Born at number 32. Sia is probably best-known as the female voice heard on David Guetta’s “Titanium” and Flo Rida’s “Wild Ones.” She also co-wrote Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” Ne-Yo’s “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself),” Beyonce’s “Pretty Hurts” and more!
